This is where West Vancouver begins to feel distinctly mountainside.

Cypress Park Estates and Whitby Estates climb above the shoreline into a landscape shaped by forest, rock and sweeping views. From many properties, the outlook stretches across Howe Sound, the ocean and the city, creating that extraordinary sense of living between mountains and sea.

Homes here tend to reflect the setting: substantial detached properties, luxury residences and striking contemporary architecture, often designed around views, privacy and the natural landscape.

But what really distinguishes this area from British Properties and Chartwell is its connection to the Cypress side of West Vancouver. Cypress Bowl Road leads directly toward Cypress Provincial Park and Cypress Mountain, putting skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and other year-round mountain recreation remarkably close to home. Cypress Mountain itself offers extensive winter recreation and roughly 30 kilometres of hiking trails. 

There's also an evolving recreational landscape closer to the residential communities. The Mountain Path and Trestle Bridge create a spectacular forest walk along Cypress Bowl Road toward the emerging Cypress Village area, another example of how trails and mountain access are being woven into this part of West Vancouver. 

And location-wise, you're beautifully positioned for a lifestyle that moves in two directions: east toward Ambleside, Park Royal and Vancouver, or west toward Horseshoe Bay and up the Sea-to-Sky to Squamish and Whistler.

The trade-off is similar to other elevated West Vancouver neighbourhoods: steep terrain, more driving and noticeably different mountain weather as elevation increases. This isn't a neighbourhood you choose for walk-to-coffee convenience.

You choose it because you want forest behind you, enormous views in front of you, and the mountains to feel like an extension of where you live.
